Megan Reuben had a St. Bernard, Garth, eight months old. "I took him to see Dr. Djordjevich at Mohnacky Animal Hospital in Carlsbad for something going on with his eyes. ZORAN diagnosed my puppy with severe bilateral entropion. This is a condition which causes the eyelids to invert and scratch the eye. Upon ZORAN’s advice, we took our puppy to Veterinary Eye Specialist of San Diego. They completed surgery which tacked the puppy’s eyelids in a position which did not allow for the eyelashes to scratch the eye. The weekend after the surgery the puppy seemed to be having issues with his eye. Dr. Djordjevic stated the surgery was “completely botched” and needed to be redone due to the sutures opening repeatedly.
Dr. Zoran Djordjevich (Dr. George) performed the surgery an additional four times. He began to show signs of aggression with our dogs and family, which he had never shown before. This included causing severe injury to our other dogs ear. I continued to have check-ups with Dr. Zoran Djordjevic for our puppy and his behaviors. Dr. Zoran Djordjevic recommended sedating the puppy until he calmed down. At this point, he was about nineteen (19) months old. I was pregnant and the dog tried to attack me. At this point the aggression was so severe, we felt we had no other option but to euthanize.
During this appointment he tried to convince me to give the dog to someone he knew. I was emotional, devastated, I couldn’t handle this. I could not afford to pay an attorney, and struggled to even find one in the field of veterinary malpractice."
